PROFILE

The Program's faculty is highly qualified, with scientific and technological competence and experience in the areas of cell biology, reproduction, genetics, diagnostics and therapeutics in Veterinary Medicine, with a focus on regional growth trends.

The Program currently has 18 full-time faculty and 3 collaborators, each working in his or her area of scientific expertise, and all highly competent in training human resources for research. Thus, 67% of our faculty have extensive experience as professors integrated into other graduate degree programs at UFPI and/or at other institutions, systematically transmitting their acquired scientific experience. The full-time faculty of PPGTAIR have supervised more than 249 masters, 145 doctors, at other graduate degree programs where they teach or have taught throughout their academic career. In addition, PPGTAIR faculty have supervised more than 444 junior research program students and supervised 21 postdoctoral fellowships. They work in the coordination/participation of research projects with financial support from external funding agencies, integrated into the field of study and lines of research, with themes within the scope of the Program.

PPGTAIR also has full-time faculty who have carried out an internship abroad, either during their graduate degree training, or performing postdoctoral studies, participating in research at institutions located in countries such as the United States and France, adding up 28.57% of the Program's faculty.
